FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CITY TO BEGIN ROAD RESURFACING ON YOUNG STREET
Motorists are advised that the City will begin resurfacing Young Street, between Keeaumoku Street and Pensacola Street, between 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., from today (Tuesday, February 24) through Friday, February 27, weather permitting.
The project is a continuation of the Cityís emergency road work effort that has already resurfaced major portions of Beretania Street , Kapiolani Boulevard and Kalakaua Avenue, and which will target other heavily traveled roadways in Honoluluís urban core.
The work on Young Street will require closure of at least one lane of traffic in the construction area. Off-duty police officers will assist motorists around the construction zones. Permanent pavement striping, manhole adjustments and loop detector work will extend into another two to three weeks.
