            Honolulu’s Second Annual Creativity and Innovation Day will offer a workshop Saturday, December 11 to teach creative thinking techniques that can help people in their personal lives and also businesses.


            Creativity and Innovation Day (CID) is a global network, present in more than 40 countries, comprised of business consultants, professors, psychologists and others who are passionate about creative thinking.  CID believes that every person is endowed with the ability to use knowledge, imagination and evaluation to create new and meaningful solutions to meet the challenges we face.             The December 11 workshop, which is also supported by the City, will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mayor’s Conference Room, 530 South King Street.  Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. The registration fee is free. Parking is available at Civic Center Parking Garage.


            Among the workshop’s featured speakers is Manny Menendez, Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development; Dr. Cynthia Quinn, president of Make A Wish Foundation of Hawaii; Management Professor Dr. Art Whatley; and Paula Mantel, of Discover Learning Systems.  Attendees will be involved in hands-on exercises that will enable them to map projects and have a clear picture of how to creatively implement them.
