Mayor Jeremy Harris today announced that the City and County of Honolulu has made it easier for Senior Citizens to renew their annual bus passes that will be expiring soon.  TheBus is offering the following convenient ways to get a bus pass renewal sticker.

For seniors who have picture bus passes:

If you have a sticker on your current picture bus pass, you will be sent an application form in the mail during the month before the expiration of your bus pass.  Simply fill out the application and mail it back with a check or money order for $30.00 and a new sticker will be sent to you.

Senior Citizens may also bring the form that was received in the mail to a Satellite City Hall to purchase a new sticker.  If you have not received an application in the mail by the first day of the month of your bus pass expiration, then you can complete an application at a Satellite City Hall and purchase your sticker (cash only please) at that time.  Your current sticker will be valid until the last day of the month of expiration.

For seniors who are newly qualified for a picture bus pass:

You must apply for a pass at TheBus Pass Office at 811 Middle Street.  (Routes A, 1, 2, 13, 31 and 32 will take you there.)

For more information about the renewal process, call the hotline at 591-7600, Monday - Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
