On Monday, March 15th, from 5am – 6:30 pm a police-based television pilot will be filming driving scenes on Kalakaua Ave in Waikiki. There will be no major closures but minor slow downs are anticipated.

The activity will center around the intersections of Royal Hawaiian Avenues and Kalakaua Avenues from approximately 5am to 12 noon.
From approximately 1pm to 3:30 pm, the film activity will move to the Kuhio Beach area near Uluniu Street. At 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm the filming activity will be focused on the intersection of Kapahulu Avenue and Monsarrat at Kalakaua Avenue.
The driving shots will depict a police officer responding to a call. The drivers involved in the scene are anticipated to travel at approximately 25 – 35 miles per hour. A number of special duty police officers will be utilized to ensure the activity is done safely throughout the day.
