WINDWARD PARKS SPRING REGISTRATION CANCELLED TONIGHT DUE TO POWER DISRUPTIONS

           The City Parks Spring Program registration scheduled for 6:00 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, January 14) has been cancelled in Windward Oahu because of electrical power disruptions caused by heavy winds.

           Registration was to have taken place at City parks from Waimanalo to Waialua. 

           Parks officials, however, still intend to hold registration as scheduled this Thursday and Friday (January 15 and 16) from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

           Heavy winds also forced the closures of all City botanical gardens:  Ho’omaluhia, Wahiawa, Koko Crater and Foster Botanical Gardens.  The facilities will open tomorrow, weather permitting.
