20th ANNUAL CHRISTMAS WREATH CONTEST WINNERS

 

          A majestic wreath entitled “Ho’ala Hou” by Marshall K. Fergerstrom is this year’s recipient of the Mayor’s Holly Award in Christmas in the Stars, the 20th Annual Christmas Wreath Contest sponsored by the City & County of Honolulu. The wreath is made of golden seedpods with gold and silver wooden extensions and an angel made of plant fiber rising in the center opening.

 

          Commissioners from the Honolulu Commission on Culture and the Arts had a difficult time selecting from the 78 entries.  Thirty-four wreaths were entered into the Adult Category, 24 in the Youth Category, and 20 in the Theme Category.
