KAIOLU STREET PARKING LOT IN WAIKIKI REOPENS

 The City has reopened the municipal parking lot at Kaiolu Street in Waikiki. Meters have been reinstalled and parking regulations are being enforced

The lot, on the makai side of Kuhio Avenue near the entrance to Waikiki, was closed last year to serve as a storage area for material and equipment for the Kuhio Avenue beautification project.  It was also subjected to landscaping, a project that was separate from the Kuhio Avenue work.

While the lot was closed, the parking meters were removed, to avoid attracting unwitting would-be parkers.
