MAYOR’S TEAM COMPLETES ETHICS TRAINING

        Mayor Mufi Hannemann is pleased to announce that he and all of his cabinet members who are subject to City Council confirmation have completed their mandatory City ethics training.

        The training is required by a 2001 City ordinance enacted by the City Council in the wake of several well-publicized violations of the city’s ethics code.

        The Hannemann administration’s training was conducted by Chuck Totto, executive director of the Honolulu Ethics Commission.

        Totto said the Hannemann cabinet completed its training in two months while the previous administration took two years.

     Hannemann’s appointees also underwent training on sexual harassment and drugs, alcohol and workplace violence.
