SEWAGE SPILL REPORTED AT PEARLRIDGE Crews from the City Department of Environmental Services responded last night to a sewage spill at Pearlridge. An estimated 1,100 gallons of untreated sewage overflowed from a manhole at They said the spill was caused by intrusive tree roots that blocked an 8-inch sewer main. Some of the overflow entered a nearby storm drain. The state Department of Health has been notified. Pollution warning signs will be posted.
