CITY TO REMOVE PORTION OF 

LUNALILO HOME ROAD MEDIAN

            In response to community requests, the City will remove the raised median on Lunalilo Home Road near Koko Marina Shopping Center, between Kaumakani and Anapalau streets.

            Installation of the landscaped median several years ago prevented motorists from turning  left into  and  out of the driveways of the 76 Service Station, Hawaii National Bank and Hawaii Kai Church. 

            The project will remove a portion of the median. Bids are now being taken. Estimated cost is less than $125,000. Construction is scheduled to begin in Febuary and take two months.

The Hawaii Kai Neighborhood Board supports the improvements.
