FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 26, 2006 Release No. M-87-06 MAYOR DEDICATES WAIALAE KAHALA BICYCLE STAGING AREA Located next to the Mayor Hannemann said, The City is pleased to offer these improved facilities to cyclists. The availability of a comfort station and staging area will, we hope, encourage and support more bicycling by The project was completed in two phases. Phase I encompassed the bulk of improvements, including construction of the comfort station. Work began in November 2004 and was completed this month at a cost of $604,300. Phase II consisted of building the fitness court. This latter phase took place between July 2005 and February 2006, at a cost of $94,900.
