NEW WEDNESDAY HOURS AT ALA MOANA, PEARLRIDGE AND WINDWARD MALL SATELLITES

        The City’s satellite city hall offices at Ala Moana, Pearlridge and Windward Mall will close at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings, rather than 9:00 p.m., effective July 5.  Customers in line by 6:45 p.m. will be served.

        The decision to close earlier resulted from a survey taken by the City’s Customer Services Department from February through May, which showed that 83 percent of the walk-in traffic visited the three mall satellites prior to 7:00 p.m.  The new Wednesday time will enable the satellites to utilize their limited personnel more productively to meet workload demands.

        Driver license renewals and duplicates will also not be available for one day—on Saturday, July 8—at the Windward Mall and Hawaii Kai satellites because of a switchover to a newly rewritten Hawaii Drivers License computer system.  Services are expected to return to normal on Monday, July 10.
