WAHIAWA WASTEWATER DISCHARGE

        Crews from the city's Department of Environmental Services responded to a discharge of about 2,500 gallons of wastewater that had spilled from an 8-inch line along Rose Street in Wahiawa at about 10 a.m. today (September 17). An accumulation of grease and rags and a sag in the line were contributing factors.

        The spill was secured within 20 minutes.  Crews cleaned, disinfected and deodorized the area.  The Department of Health was notified and signs were posted notifying residents of the spill.
