CITY CLOSES ALA MOANA PARK  ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY FOR MAINTENANCE

City officials remind the public that Ala Moana Regional Park will be closed beginning 10 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, April 24, until 3 p.m. Thursday, April 26, to allow City workers to perform heavy maintenance there.

“This is part of our ongoing program of beefed up maintenance that we started at Ala Moana last year,” said City Parks and Recreation Director Lester Chang.

This week’s closure was publicly announced on March 23.

Chang noted that Ala Moana park is normally closed to the public nightly from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. It will not reopen Wednesday and will remain closed until 3 p.m. Thursday.
