CITY PARTNERSHIPS ON MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY ACTIVITIES IN OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER
Community and school groups in Waimanalo, Palama, Manoa, Nanakuli, Salt Lake, Makiki, Kalihi, Waipahu, Palolo, Ewa Beach, and other communities on Oahu are connecting with their neighbors through service projects to make a difference in October and November.
Although Make A Difference Day is on October 27, the fourth Saturday in October, there will be ongoing activities throughout the whole month. This year, volunteers can help make a difference in their community in the Adopt-A-Stream and Adopt-A-Block cleanups, backed by City and County of Honolulu agencies. “We’ve got a terrific opportunity, right here at home, to join hundreds of volunteers who take pride in our land and waters,” said Mayor Mufi Hannemann.
