FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 21, 2007 MAYOR’S MIDTERM REPORT COMING TO YOU THIS WEEK
Mayor Mufi Hannemann’s Midterm Report is being distributed across “This allowed us to get a wide range of useful information to the largest number of people,” said Customer Services Director Jeff Coelho. “We spent less than 12 cents per copy for printing and distribution.” According to Section 5-103(j) of the City Charter, one of the duties of the mayor is to “make periodic reports informing the public as to city policies, programs and operations.” The eight-page insert includes a message from Mayor Hannemann as well as: · Frequently called City telephone numbers and phone numbers for City departments and City Council members. · Important and oft-visited City websites, for the public to “go on line and save time.” One of the websites allows the public to view and download the entire 307-page Departmental and Agency Reports of the City and · Tips on pedestrian safety. · A primer for hurricane season, which starts on June 1. · Information on The Mayor’s Midterm Report was prepared by the City’s Customer Services Department. It was printed and is being distributed by Midweek/Star-Bulletin and the Honolulu Advertiser at a cost of $46,588.
