MAYOR TRAVELS  TO WASHINGTON, D.C.

            Mayor Mufi Hannemann will be in Washington, D.C., next week.

            He arrives in the capital this weekend and will meet with federal officials, including members of Hawaii’s Congressional delegation, on wastewater, transit and other City issues.

            He will return to the office on Wednesday, March 7, 2007.

            In his absence, Managing Director Wayne Hashiro will be acting mayor.
