CITY SPOKESMAN ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

City spokesman Bill Brennan has informed Mayor Mufi Hannemann that he was arrested early this morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

While this incident was in no way connected with Brennanís city work, Mayor Hannemann takes all issues of public safety very seriously and believes public servants must be held to high standards.

Brennan has taken a leave of absence and Mayor Hannemann will evaluate potential disciplinary action while the case is pending.
