ANNUAL ELEPHANT WEIGH-IN TOMORROW MORNING    

What: Mari and Vaigai, the Honolulu Zoo’s two elephants, will be weighed on a large truck scale as part of an annual examination.

Where: Honolulu Zoo, behind the Elephant Exhibit.

When: Tomorrow (Tuesday, April 8) at 8:30 a.m.

Join the zoo staff for this exciting event that promises unique visual opportunities.

The elephants are both females, and each weighs approximately 10,000 pounds. For health reasons, it is important that the elephants not gain too much weight. Zoo staff will be available tomorrow to answer questions about the elephants.
