Adopt-A-Stream/Block, Storm Drain Stenciling Projects ComingThe Department of Environmental Services and its “Be an Everyday Environmental Hero” campaign will coordinate five cleanup events during the next two weeks in Nanakuli, Waianae, Kalihi, Waimanalo, The department’s Storm Water Quality Branch will lead students and volunteers to help prevent storm water pollution and participate in other hands-on activities, including storm drain stenciling, removing litter/graffiti, and distributing pollution prevention tips. Discharging pollutants into the storm drain system is against the law. Residents will be informed to call the City’s Environmental Concern Line at 768-3300 to report illegal discharge into the storm drain system. Following are specific location details. To participate in the cleanup and expedite check in, please complete the release form and bring it to the cleanup.
