HANAUMA BAY COMMERCIAL PARKING LOT WORK PLANNED

The City and County of Honolulu will reconstruct the Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve commercial vehicle roadway and parking lot starting on September 2, 2008. The improvements will require the complete replacement of the existing surfaces and foundation and the re-striping of the traffic lanes and parking stalls.

The project is expected to take three weeks.

During this construction, Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve will be closed to all commercial traffic and the City bus starting on Tuesday, September 2, 2008.  It is scheduled to reopen to commercial traffic on Wednesday, September 24, 2008.
