MAYOR HANNEMANN TO ILLUMINATE KAPOLEI HALE CITY LIGHTS
Games, food booths, employee tree displays and holiday lights will be the focus of this holiday season as Mayor Mufi Hannemann kicks off the 7th Annual Kapolei Hale City Lights celebration on Saturday, December 13 at 5 p.m. The popular holiday presentation attracts thousands and includes a 2008 Christmas Poster Coloring Contest, free goodie bags for children and a host of keiki games and activities. Santa will visit from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The annual Kapolei Electric Light Parade starts at Following the parade, Mayor Hannemann and First lady Gail Mukaihata-Hannemann and special guests will light the City's 50-foot tree at 8 p.m. Throughout the evening special holiday entertainment will be presented by TJ & Micha ukulele duo, Ewa Elementary School and other special guests. The celebration continues through January 2, 2009 with the trees and posters displayed inside Kapolei Hale.
