LEI FOR MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONIES

TO BE ACCEPTED ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

Flower lei are still needed for placement on the graves of veterans at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl and at all state veterans’ cemeteries for Memorial Day.

Lei donations can be dropped off at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25.  A drop off box will be at the Cemetery’s flag pole on Saturday and at the turnaround area on Sunday.

The 59th annual Mayor’s Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 26, at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.  As they traditionally have, Boy Scouts will place a lei at each grave to honor the memory of the fallen veterans and service members.
