Pearl Harbor Bike Path Cleanup This Saturday

The Storm Water Quality Branch of the City’s Department of Environmental Services conducts the fifth Waipahu Make-A-Difference Day/Adopt-A-Stream cleanup Saturday, Oct. 4, from 8:30-11 a.m.

The cleanup will cover Leeward Community College, Waipahu High School, Kapakahi Stream, Waikele Stream and Pupuole Community Park.  An estimated 200 volunteers will participate.

The goals of the program are to create awareness of non-point source pollution, encourage partnerships between the public and government along with providing information to help motivate positive change to keep streams healthy.

Volunteers should be at least 12 years old and wear covered shoes.  The City will provide supplies, T-shirts, educational materials and refreshments.
