MAYOR HANNEMANN WELCOMES ALL TO SPECIAL ‘SUNSET’ EVENTS

Mayor Mufi Hannemann is welcoming everyone to enjoy special fun-filled events in Laie and Kailua this weekend featuring free outdoor movies and entertainment, vendors selling delicious food, and much more. This will be the first-ever “Sunset on the Beach” event in Laie, and the first such event in Kailua since 2002.

“I’ve always wanted to have a Sunset event in Laie, especially since the recent closure of the local movie theater there,” Mayor Hannemann said. “I’m also very pleased to bring a Sunset event back to Kailua, so that residents won’t have to drive to Waikiki to participate. The City is very happy to provide services that will make these events fun, safe and successful.”
