City Seeks Entries for Annual Entries Accepted November 30 The 25th anniversary celebration of Honolulu City Lights is just around the corner. Mayor Mufi Hannemann is inviting Mayor Hannemann said, “Honolulu City Lights is celebrating its 25th year, and the festivities would not be complete without the display of decorative wreaths by The contest has three categories: Adult, open to any individual or group age 18 and older; Youth, open to any individual or group age 17 or younger; and Theme, open to any individual or group that best depicts this year’s theme. First, second, and third place winners in each category will receive a ribbon and monetary award of $150, $100, and $75, respectively. An overall Best in Show will receive the Mayor’s Holly Award and $200, while two wreaths from each category will be selected to receive a Judge’s Choice Award consisting of a ribbon and $25. Each entrant, individual or group, may win only one award. Contest entries will be accepted on Monday, November 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the Lane Gallery of Honolulu Hale ( Judging will be based on workmanship, creativity, and use of materials. Wreaths in the theme category will be judged on the entrant’s incorporation of the “Holiday Memories” theme. All entries will be exhibited in the Lane Gallery of Honolulu Hale during Honolulu City Lights from December 5, 2009, to January 3, 2010.
