NO REFUSE PICKUP NEW YEAR’S DAY

 

 

(Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009) – The City’s Department of Environmental Services reminds residents that their garbage will not be picked up on Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, New Year’s Day.

      If you are on twice-a-week refuse collection and your pickup day falls on New Year’s Day, please hold your items for the next scheduled collection day.

      Communities that use the new 3-cart curbside recycling program, with once-a-week refuse and once-a-week recycling pickup, are asked to leave their gray carts curbside and those will be collected either on the next 1-2 days – Saturday or Monday (excluding Sunday).  Please leave the gray cart at the curb until serviced.

      Please hold mixed recyclables (blue) and green waste (green) carts for the next scheduled pickup.
