City REPLACING STREET LIGHTS

ON LUNALILO HOME ROAD

Mayor Mufi Hannemann has announced that the City is replacing street lights on Lunalilo Home Road, from Kalanianaole Highway to Hawaii Kai Drive.

Mayor Hannemann said, “The public is well aware of the tremendous amount of infrastructure work this administration is doing, from fixing sewers to repaving roads.  Upgrading street lights is another important aspect of these investments in our future.  We ask for residents’ patience during the construction.”

The first phase of the project will replace 144 street lights from Kalanianaole to Koamano Street.  The second phase, covering 32 lights, will go from Koamano to Hawaii Kai Drive.  Costs are $1.96 million and $500,000, respectively.

Completion of both phases is targeted for March.
