NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE:NEIGHBORHOOD BOARD CANDIDATE PROFILES AND PHOTOS The “The City strives to keep voters informed, and the NCO has posted information about Neighborhood Board elections online since 2007,” Mayor Hannemann said. “My administration also supports the City Council’s plan for online voting in this year’s election, so it is important that candidate information be available online as well.” A total of 414 candidates are running in May for 445 seats on Neighborhood Boards are comprised of volunteers who hold monthly meetings and serve as advisors on community concerns. The Neighborhood Board system was created in 1973 to increase and assure effective citizen participation in government decision-making.
