ALL SATELLITE CITY HALLS CLOSED ON THE 4TH OF JULY

Wednesday, June 24, 2009 – Mayor Mufi Hannemann announced today that four satellite city halls, normally open on Saturdays, will be closed in observance of the Independence Day holiday on July 4.  Ala Moana, Hawaii Kai, Pearlridge and Windward City will adjust their schedules due to the holiday.

For the week of July 4, all satellite city halls will operate on a Monday through Thursday work week (June 29–July 2), and each location will be closed on Friday and Saturday, July 3 and 4.

Hawaii Kai and Windward City, which are usually closed on Mondays, will open for business on Monday, June 29, due to the Saturday closure.

“These changes in our operations are necessary to give our hard-working City employees the opportunity to enjoy the Independence Day holiday,” said Mayor Hannemann.  “We ask that our customers plan ahead for that week and come during our operating hours or go online to conduct City business.”

Residents can get personalized license plates, renew their registration and do other transactions from any computer that has Internet access.  Go to the City’s website www.honolulu.gov, and click on “Online Services” to do transactions and pay for services online.
