Public Asked to Review Special Needs Transportation Plan

The City and County of Honolulu is sponsoring a planning effort designed to improve transportation by coordinating transit, human services, and other community transportation services for seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income residents.  This effort is especially important because it is required by federal law in order for organizations to be eligible to receive certain federal transportation dollars.

Since October 2008, FLT Consulting, Inc. and Innovative Paradigms, consulting firms hired by the City and County of Honolulu, have been working with the City and County, the public and transportation providers to develop this plan, known as the Human Service Transportation Coordination Plan.  The draft Plan is now available for public review at  All comments are due by Friday, March 27, 2009.

If you do not have internet access and would like to request a hard copy of the draft Plan, please call Peggy DeGregory, FLT Consulting, Inc., 1-877-532-2863.
