TREE MAINTENANCE WORK SCHEDULED

(August 7, 2009) --- Contractors for the city’s Department of Parks and Recreation’s Division of Urban Forestry are scheduled to begin work Monday, August 10^th at several locations around Oahu.

Trees are scheduled for pruning on city streets and in city parks in neighborhoods in Punchbowl, Manoa and Makiki.

In addition, coconut and royal palm trees on city streets and city parks are scheduled for trimming from Waimanalo through the North Shore, and in Central Oahu and the Waianae Coast.

Beginning Tuesday of next week, August 11^th, a city contractor will remove two Moreton Bay fig trees and heavily prune another at Cartwright Field in McCully/Moiliili.
