MAKAI SIDE OF KAPIOLANI PARK CLOSURE HOURS TO CHANGE

(Friday, February 26, 2010) --- The Department of Parks and Recreation today announced that night closure hours for all sections of Kapiolani Regional Park will be identical, from midnight to 5 a.m., beginning on March 1, 2010.

Currently, the park section makai of Kalakaua Ave from Kapahulu Ave to the Natatorium is closed from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.  The change is being made to reduce confusion, minimize signage, and ensure safety in the beach and inland areas.
