ENV RESPONDS TO GULICK AVENUE SSO
(Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010) – The City’s Department of Environmental Services responded this evening to a sanitary sewer overflow in Kalihi.
The call came in at 7:46 p.m. An ENV crew arrived at 8:04 p.m. with the site secured at 8:17 p.m.
Grease clogged a 10-inch terra cotta pipe at 1240 Gulick Avenue causing an estimated 1,550 gallons of untreated wastewater out a manhole and into Kalihi Stream.
ENV notified the state Department of Health. Signing and water sampling will begin Monday morning.
