MAYOR HANNEMANN PLEASED WITH ‘HAWAII 5-0’ PLAN

(Mon., May 17, 2010)—Mayor Mufi Hannemann today issued the following statement regarding news reports that CBS Television Studios will add a new HAWAII FIVE-O program to its fall series schedule:

“The original HAWAII FIVE-O was a landmark television program. It was the first network series to be filmed entirely on location here and was vital to building Hawaii's film industry. The City and County of Honolulu pulled out all the stops to assist with the making of the new pilot episode because a network television series translates into significant economic development for Hawaii. We look forward to supporting the production as it goes forward into series.”
