TEMPORARY LANE ADJUSTMENTS ON ALALOA ST. IN KANEOHE

           (Fri., Feb. 25, 2011)—Traffic lanes on Alaloa Street between Haiku Road and Kahuhipa Street in Kaneohe will be temporarily adjusted 24 hours per day, for five consecutive days from Monday, February 28, through Friday, March 4, due to construction of a concrete bus pad on the makai side of Alaloa Street. 

To accommodate traffic on Alaloa Street, the current Kailua-bound traffic lanes will be temporarily reconfigured to handle two-way traffic on Alaloa Street in each direction between Haiku Road and before Kahuhipa Street. No on-street parking will be available on either side of this section of Alaloa Street during the construction period.

Motorists are advised to use caution on this segment of Alaloa Street during construction and are encouraged to use alternative routes such as Kamehameha Highway.

Bus patrons normally using the Kahuluu bound Alaloa Street bus stop between Haiku Road and Kahuhipa Street are asked to use the temporary bus stop located on the makai bound Haiku Road between Alaloa Street and Kamehameha Hwy. For more bus information, go to www.thebus.org or call 848-5555.
