LANE CLOSURE: KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY, KAILUA-BOUND AT MEHANA STREET INTERSECTION

(Thursday , January 27, 2011)---The curb lane on Kamehameha Highway at the Mehana Street intersection will be closed 24-hours, five consecutive days starting Monday, January 31, through Friday, February 4, due to construction of a concrete bus pad on the mauka side of Kamehameha Highway.  Motorists are advised to use caution in this area. 

During construction, motorists are encouraged to avoid this segment of Kamehameha Highway if possible and are encouraged to use alternative routes such as Haiku Road to Kahekili Highway or Haiku Road to Alaloa Street to Kahuhipa Street. 

The Kamehameha Highway bus stop before Mehana Street for Kailua-bound buses will be temporarily relocated approximately mid-block between Haiku Road and Mehana Street.
