MAYOR TO ATTEND SUMMIT IN INCHEON, KOREA
(Tues., Oct. 11, 2011)—Mayor Peter Carlisle will travel to Korea tonight to attend the Incheon Sister and Friendly Cities Summit.
Incheon Metropolitan City invited Carlisle to the summit to discuss economic development cooperation and business opportunities in Honolulu, strengthen sister-city relations and encourage Koreans to visit Honolulu.
Carlisle will be accompanied by Office of Economic Development Director Ann Chung. Trip expenses will be covered by Incheon.
City Managing Director Doug Chin will serve as Acting Mayor until Carlisle’s return on October 16.
