2011 MAYOR’S CRAFT AND COUNTRY FAIR
(Wed., Nov. 2, 2011)—Mayor Peter Carlisle today announced that the 37th annual Mayor’s Craft and Country Fair will be held on Saturday, November 19, at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall.
The yearly event features unique handmade items created by city senior clubs, as well as other crafts, homemade baked goods, white elephant sale, fresh produce from the City’s People’s Open Market, entertainment, and informational booths.
“Our senior club members work all year to make this event special, and residents look forward to this opportunity to purchase unique crafts for the holidays,”
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free, although the Department of Parks and Recreation senior clubs welcome canned goods, which will be donated to the Hawaii Food Bank, or unused eye glasses that will be refurbished and distributed to needy individuals.
For more information, participating seniors may contact the Department’s Recreation Specialist Randy Yasuhara at 768-3045.
