FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE December 5, 2012
CITY GAINS PARKLAND ON NORTH SHORE, EWA BEACH
(Wed., Dec. 5, 2012)—The City and County of Honolulu will gain ownership of more than 11 acres of parkland after the City Council today unanimously approved a resolution accepting the land as a gift from the James Campbell Company.
The City currently leases the properties from Campbell: 7.50 acres of land comprising a portion of Kahuku District Park on the North Shore, and 4.35 acres of Puuloa Neighborhood Park in Ewa Beach. Gaining ownership of the land will provide the City with clear control of the property for the future.
The properties are valued at $1,276,900 and $297,000 respectively.
