(Tues., December 11, 2012) — The City and County of Honolulu is hosting the Asia Pacific Workforce Roundtable, experts from the City’s Oahu Workforce Investment Board, National Association of Workforce Board, East West Center, and the McGraw-Hill Foundation, to examine and discuss job market trends, challenges, and potential solutions.


          The conference begins today through tomorrow, December 12, at the East West Center.  Concerned with continuing recession and a sluggish job market, the workforce development professionals hope to find solutions to the challenges of delivering and funding education and workforce development throughout the Asia Pacific region.


          Participants include Ron Painter, CEO National Association of Workforce Boards; Mitch Rosin, McGraw Hill Foundation; Jan Bray, Executive Director, National Association for Career & Technology Education; Sally Sinclair, National Employment Services Association; and Dexter Ligot Gordon, COO, Kalibrr.
