CITY TO HOLD GENERAL PLAN COMMUNITY MEETINGS (Friday, November 30, 2012)— The Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP) will present its proposed changes to the Oahu General Plan at community meetings in December and January. The first meeting will be on Tuesday, December 4, from 6-8 p.m. in The General Plan is a comprehensive statement of objectives and policies that sets forth the long-range desires of DPP and consultant Helber Hastert & Fee will provide an overview of the Public Review Draft Plan and field questions and comments at these community meetings. The public will have additional opportunities to comment on the plan at public hearings to be held by the Honolulu Planning Commission and Honolulu City Council. The hearings are expected to be held later next year. The Public Review Draft is available at http://dev.honoluludpp.org/Planning/GeneralPlan.aspx.
