MAYOR CARLISLE WELCOMED BY FILIPINO LEADERS
(Mon., Feb. 13, 2012)—Mayor Peter Carlisle was welcomed Sunday by Filipino government and business leaders during his visit to Cebu City.
Carlisle, who's participating in the 22nd Annual Trade Mission to the Philippines with the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, was interviewed by the Filipino press as he met with Mayor Michael Rama of Cebu City to promote Honolulu and exchange cultural and business opportunities. In a speech, Carlisle recognized the Filipinos who migrated to Hawaii and have significantly contributed to its economy and to what Honolulu has become today.
