Mayor Caldwell to make presentation at American Public Transportation Association

annual meeting in Chicago

 

Honolulu - Mayor Kirk Caldwell will depart Honolulu this Saturday night, Sept. 28 for the annual meeting of the American Public Transportation Association in Chicago, Illinois

 

On Monday, Sept. 30, Mayor Caldwell will deliver a PowerPoint presentation about Honolulu’s rail project during a session on “Big Transportation Infrastructure Projects Worldwide.”  Mayor Caldwell will be joined by Director of Transportation Services Mike Formby and Honolulu Authority of Rapid Transit Executive Director and CEO Dan Grabauskas. 

 

Mayor Caldwell is also scheduled to meet with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

 

After the four-day conference concludes, Mayor Caldwell will make a personal family trip before returning to Honolulu on Sunday, Oct. 6. 

 

Managing Director Ember Shinn will serve as Acting Mayor while Caldwell is out of state.
