HAWAIIAN TEL POWER OUTAGE CAUSES INTERMITTENT

SERVICE DISRUPTIONS AT SATELLITE CITY HALLS

(Tues., January 15, 2013) − The Hawaiian Telephone power outage caused by an early morning fiber optic cable fire beneath the H1 viaduct created intermittent disruption in processing driver licensing transactions at various city satellite locations.

According to city satellite operations supervisor Chase Masuda, operations are now back to normal at all West Oahu satellite locations following a brief suspension of service due to the outage.  “We apologize to our customers for the delays in their transactions, and thank the public for their patience and understanding,” said Masuda.
