Project to affect King Street traffic and TheBus routes starting July 22

 

Chinatown Beginning Monday, July 22, 2013, bus pads will be installed and resurfacing will occur on King Street between River Street and Bethel Street.  The project will affect local traffic and TheBus routes for approximately 50 days. 

 

All bus stops on King Street from River Street to Richards Street will be moved to Hotel Street during construction of the makai concrete bus lane. 

 

  • South King and River (TheBus Stop #592) 
  • South King and Maunakea (TheBus Stop #997)
  • South King and Bethel (TheBus Stop #393)
  • South King and Alakea (TheBus Stop #1405)
  • South King and Richards (TheBus Stop #4400)

 

Drivers are asked to observe and obey all traffic control devices and special duty police officers.  The tow away zone on the mauka lane of King Street will be strictly enforced from 7:30am to 3:30pm.  Signs will be posted to alert commuters.
