TRAFFIC ADVISORY: LANE CLOSURES

FOR HONOLULU RAIL TRANSIT PROJECT

 

 

(Fri., March 15, 2013) − The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) wants to inform drivers of lane closures next week related to design work for the Honolulu rail transit project.

 

            Motorists are advised of work in the Pearl Harbor and airport areas that will require lane closures during non-peak traffic hours.

 

            For the safety of both the work crews and motorists, the public is advised to proceed with caution through these areas. Drivers should anticipate possible traffic delays or use alternate routes during work hours, and provide a safe distance between themselves and the workers and equipment.

 

            Lane closures and other restrictions will take place at the following locations from Monday, March 18, to Friday, March 22, between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.:

  • Kamehameha Highway between Arizona Street and Center Drive in the east-bound and west-bound directions;
  • Shoulder lane closure at (RampWN) between H-1 Freeway and Nimitz Highway, in the east-bound direction.
  • Curbside parking will be restricted along Ualena Street between Ohohia Street and Lagoon Drive, and along Waiwai Loop on Friday, March 22, between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

 

            Night work and related lane closures will take place at the following location from Sunday, March 17, to Thursday, March 21, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.:

  • Aolele Street between Paiea Street and Lagoon Drive in the east- and west-bound directions.
