KALIHI ADOPT-A-BLOCK THIS SATURDAY

 

KAPOLEI, HI – The City’s Storm Water Quality Branch of the Department of Environmental Services (ENV) is conducting an Adopt-a-Block this Saturday, Nov. 2, as part of its “Make-A-Difference Day.”

 

Volunteers wanting to participate will meet at Kamehameha Schools Kalihi-Palama Preschool at 1850 Makuakane Street, Honolulu, Hawaii at 8:00 a.m. Volunteers will remove debris and mark storm drains on School Street from Lanakila to Kapalama.  The cleanup runs to 11 a.m. 

 

ENV partners with businesses, schools, public officials, the state and military organizations.  The cleanups will provide educational materials on reducing trash.

              

Participants should dress to get dirty and bring the following:  water, hat, old covered shoes and sunscreen.  All participants must sign a release form to participate.
