Mayor Caldwell appoints Ray Soon to be Chief of Staff

 

Honolulu Hale—Mayor Kirk Caldwell announced his appointment of Ray Soon to be Chief of Staff.  Soon brings decades of experience and leadership working in both the public and private sectors to his senior role in the Caldwell administration.

 

A Kalani High School graduate, Soon earned a BFA in City and Regional Planning from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Masters of City Planning from Harvard University.  He has previously served as Director of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands and Vice President of Community Relations at Kamehameha Schools, and is currently President of the consulting firm Solutions Pacific. 

 

“With Ray’s accomplished background, collaborative approach, and proven commitment to serving the people of the City and County of Honolulu, I am extremely fortunate to have him join my administration as Chief of Staff,” said Mayor Caldwell.

 

Soon starts on September 3.
