YELLOW POINCIANA PRUNING AND REMOVAL ON COCONUT AVENUE

(Fri., January 18, 2013) A Division of Urban Forestry contractor will begin work on two poinciana trees in the Diamond Head area on Wednesday, January 23.

Crews will remove a yellow poinciana tree and prune another on Coconut Avenue at Kiele Street, due to severe decay in the trunk and limbs of both trees. Work will be conducted between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Friday, January 25. A replacement tree will be planted shortly after the removal work is completed.  Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes for both days.
